Ian Gledhill and Stuart Allen, as Producer and MD, organised a professional quality show accompanied by a full, highly proficient orchestra against the backdrop of a meticulous Stephens Bros set. Peter Mills in the title role gave a literally enchanting performance and two fugitives from the RCM, Robina Badger and Brian Parsons, as the romantic leads, were the icing on the cake of what was already a strong cohort of IC principals. Wow! What a step-up from 6th form thespian activities! Roll on 50 years and Tim, Roger and Debbie decided, as they approached a certain age that now was a good time to relive those precious days amongst like-minded friends in what had become an iconic location. Although not quite as long in the tooth in Opsoc terms, Jane Johnson and Cecily Nicholls contributed their organisational skills to make a “Famous Five Plan a Daring Adventure” group. |
